Blackshear attorney Franklin Rozier, at left in photo above, hawks properties at the judicial in rem sale as county attorney C. Deen Strickland places bids on behalf the county on the courthouse steps Tuesday afternoon. The county was the primary bidder on 316 different parcels in the former Satilla Plantation Subdivision during the sale from 10 a.m. to about 2:30 p.m. that afternoon. Strickland said he called in Rozier to help aide in the logistics and planning of the major undertaking. Though the county was the primary bidder, local companies also participated at various points during the day, Strickland said.
